Liverpool team news
The Reds' new look midfield continues to take shape after the exits of Fabinho and Jordan Henderson. Alexis Mac Allister starred in the rout over Leicester and he could be joined in the middle of the park by fellow newbie Dominik Szoboszlai. The Hungarian playmaker impressed in his 30-minute cameo against the Foxes. Liverpool's star of pre-season, Darwin Nunez, is expected to lead the line once more, with Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz likely joining the Uruguayan forward in attack.

Liverpool Lineup: (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Jones, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai; Salah, Nunez, Diaz.

Bayern Munich team news
Thomas Tuchel could make a couple of changes in defence to the side that edged out Kawasaki Frontale last time out. Dayot Upamecano and Matthijs de Ligt may come in for Benjamin Pavard and new arrival Kim Min-jae. Serge Gnabry's likely absence could see Mathys Tel continue in the team, with Kingsley Coman potentially featuring down the left.

Bayern Munich Lineup: (4-2-3-1): Sommer; Mazraoui, De Ligt, Upamecano, Davies; Kimmich, Laimer; Sane, Musiala, Sane; Tel.

Liverpool vs Bayern Munich Head-to-Head
Liverpool have an excellent recent record against Bayern Munich and have won three out of their last four matches played between the two teams, with the other game ending in a draw. Mohamed Salah was not at his best for Liverpool last season but still managed to become their most prolific goalscorer, bagging 19 goals and 12 assists in all competitions. Liverpool have been prolific on their pre-season tour so far and have scored a total of 12 goals in their three games, conceding six goals in these three matches. Bayern Munich were the most prolific team in the Bundesliga last season and scored an astonishing 92 goals in their 34 matches in the competition. Liverpool have scored a total of six goals in their last three matches against Bayern Munich, with one of these games ending in a 0-0 stalemate.

Prediction: Liverpool 3-1 Bayern Munich
Liverpool were excellent against the Foxes and will take a ton of confidence into Wednesday's friendly. However, Bayern will be a considerable step up from their previous opponents. Tuchel has so far focussed on shuffling his pack and ensuring every member is up to speed. It could get a little more serious on Wednesday, with Bayern playing just one more time before they take on RB Leipzig in the DFL-Supercup. The Reds' summer form would suggest they're primed for another victory over the German giants, who haven't quite hit top gear.
